Is Ed Sheeran A Frustrated Wedding Singer Who Got Lucky?

British singer Ed Sheeran is certainly the flavor of the month. On the back of two hugely successful albums, Sheeran has toured the world and become one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. Sheeran counts Elton John, Taylor Swift, and Harry Styles among his “A-list” friends and recently became the first solo act to sell out London’s 80,000 capacity three nights in a row. Sheeran has recently been linked with former pussycat doll Nicole Scherzinger and a host of other beautiful women.

It hasn’t all been plain sailing for Sheeran though. Earlier this year the Guardian called Sheeran “ghastly” and suggested that he represented everything that is currently wrong with the music industry. As reported in Inquisitr Sheeran has been called “bland,” “boring,” “safe,” and “predictable” by a stream of music industry insiders, including former Oasis man Noel Gallagher and former Smiths singer Morrissey.

In recent months Sheeran, who is still single after splitting with his long-term girlfriend Athina Andrelos, has been involved in a number of high profile marriage-related good deeds. Firstly, when Sheeran was in Australia, he heard a story about a couple who had fallen on hard times and were desperate to marry. The couple won a competition staged by a Sydney radio station who forked out for the couples “dream wedding.” Sheeran made the day even more special by “crashing” the wedding to serenade the couple with his unofficial wedding anthem “Thinking Out Loud.”

Last month the Daily Mail reported that Sheeran drove to Manchester, England, on his day off to help Rixton’s Jake Roche propose to his girlfriend, Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson. Just a week later Sheeran was again involved in wedding related issues during his gig at Dublin’s Croke Park. Sheeran brought his pal, Kodaline bass player Jason Boland onstage to propose to his childhood sweetheart, Etaoin Corr, in front of 80,000 witnesses.

Now the Daily Mirror reports that Sheeran is at it again. On Monday Ed serenaded Ronan Keating and his new wife Storm Uechtritz at their wedding in Scotland. Sheeran was then joined onstage for a collaborative effort with Keating and his Boyzone bandmates. According to the Mirror a source told the The Goss that “Ed appeared out of nowhere, everyone was so surprised. He was such a nice guy.”

All this wedding activity suggests that Sheeran needs to find a girlfriend fast. Alternatively, it might just be that Sheeran is a frustrated wedding singer who got lucky. What do you think?
