Hailee Steinfeld, Usher Kick Off 10 Day Count To Justin Bieber’s ‘What Do You Mean’

Usher and Hailee Steinfield are the latest stars to co-sign Justin Bieber’s celebrity-assisted countdown to the release of his upcoming single, “What Do You Mean,” on August 28.

Early Tuesday, after posting a cover art shot, Justin tweeted and Instagrammed a snap of actress-model and “Love Myself” singer, Hailee Steinfeld.

“Thanks @HaileeSteinfeld. What Do You Mean? #10DAYS,” the heartthrob wrote next to the upload.

Next up, the Biebs shared a video of veteran superstar and the Canadian’s early mentor, Usher. The video reveals the “Don’t Look Down” singer phoning a lady friend to set up a meet, before holding up a piece of paper with the single title and marking the 10-days left until it touches down.

Justin captioned the clip, “What Do You Mean? @Usher #10Days he gets it lol.”

Later on Tuesday, the singer shared a clip of NBC’s Today show co-anchors, Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie, starting off the show saying the day marked “a big day in music,” just before both held up the familiar signs.

Ever since Justin hit up On Air With Ryan Seacrest last month to announce his new, “up-tempo,” “summery” single and kick off his 30-day celebrity-packed countdown, it’s been interesting seeing who turns up in the diverse roll call.

With stars including James Corden, Mariah Carey, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Shaquille O’Neal, Fifth Harmony, Luke Bryan, Ed Sheeran, Meghan Trainor, CL, Alanis Morissette, Little Mix, Ashley Benson, Tony Hawk, Christina Perri, professional wrestler Dylan Bostic, Hilary Duff, Twenty One Pilots, Tori Kelly and Ryan Sheckler coming onboard, it is clear Team Bieber are keen to not only reach Justin’s traditional, teen female fanbase, but also other age groups and fans from a variety of music genres with the “What Do You Mean” countdown.

Even Charlie “See You Again” Puth has endorsed the Biebs’ upcoming jam.

In other Justin Bieber news, Billboard reports multiple sources confirm the singer is set to release his insanely anticipated new album on November 13. “What Do You Mean” is the lead single from the Skrillex-produced record. Rick Rubin and Kayne West are named as producers.

In addition, Hits Daily Double hinted, and another source claimed it could confirm that the singer will perform “What Do You Mean” live at MTV’s Video Music Awards on August 30.

The Miley Cyrus-hosted music and pop culture event will air from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, two days after the 21-year-old’s imminent single “What Do You Mean” drops, so the VMAs would be a perfect promotional tie-in.

Meanwhile, noting today as day 10, check out some of the snaps of celebrities involved in the Biebs’ ongoing countdown to “What Do You Mean.”
