Jessica Alba Rocks String Bikini, Goes Ziplining During Vacation To Celebrate Daughter’s Birthday
Jessica Alba rocked a tiny bikini during a trip to Cancun, showing that even giving birth to two children hasn’t changed her famously-tone body.
The actress was on vacation with husband Cash Warren and their kids, 7-year-old Honor and 4-year-old Haven, when photographers caught up with her on the beach. The family was celebrating Haven’s birthday, and their stay included some family fun time at a zip lining adventure.
“Alba, 34, rocked the scalloped string bikini as she waded in the ocean water and relaxed in a lounge chair beside her hubby, showing off her impeccable tan and her enviable figure,” E! News noted.
Alba had reason to celebrate beyond her daughter’s birthday. This week, the Wall Street Journal noted that her brand, The Honest Company, is valued at $1.7 billion.
It was quite a milestone for Alba, especially after her brand came under fire when consumers complained that they still suffered sunburn after using the company’s sunscreen.
Jessica Alba released a statement along with co-founder Christopher Gavigan defending the company.
“Protecting our loved ones and yours is the reason we founded The Honest Company. As parents, it pains us to hear that anyone has had a negative experience with our sunscreen. We develop and use Honest Sunscreen to protect our own children—Honor, Haven, Luke, Evie and Poppy—at the park, in the pool, outside, every day,” the statement read. “As with everything we do, we take sun protection seriously here at Honest. We have a dedicated team of Honest employees, parents, and partners who carefully reviewed our Sunscreen product to make sure that it meets our highest standards prior to release.”
While Jessica Alba was rocking a bikini in Cancun, back in the United States, she was earning even more honors for her business sense. Not long after the Wall Street Journal’s big assessment of her company, Jessica herself was honored by Forbes as one of the 40 richest self-made women.
The magazine noted that she is in some exclusive company and could still climb much higher on the list.
“The 34-year-old’s Honest fortune puts her among the 40 wealthiest women in the country to make their cash from scratch, tied with bestselling novelist Nora Roberts and Texas oil mogul Kathy Lehne.
“Alba’s stake in Honest makes her richer than Beyoncé Knowles ($250 million) and YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki ($300 million), and just $40 million shy of Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer.
“Should the company go public as expected, Alba could well be on her way to the billionaires’ club — not a bad return for an initial $6 million seed investment by Alba and cofounder Brian Lee.”
