Ronda Rousey As Captain Marvel? UFC Star Shows Off Fan Art Online

Ronda Rousey may possibly have the sweetest fans of all time!

In a way, the 28-year-old UFC champion apparently had a major wish granted – a wish that she had to share with her fans and followers online.

During a Reddit AMA, Rousey made it clear that she wanted to play Captain Marvel or Ms. Marvel (also known as Carol Danvers) on the big-screen. Even though Ronda is mostly known for her undefeated record as a fighter, she has also shown off her acting skills in two box-office hits – Furious 7 and The Expendables 3.

Therefore, it would not be that far-fetched of an idea for Ronda Rousey to play the highly-coveted role in a big-screen role or even successful blockbuster franchise.

Apparently, quite a few of her fans were so inspired by the idea alone that they made it happen – on paper. In a number of different drawings (which were later posted by Ronda Rousey via Instagram), the undisputed MMA fighter portrays Ms. Marvel herself.

“Since the Reddit AMA I’ve received so many badass Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel edits! There were so many cool ones I couldn’t pick just one to share…”

In an August 2014 interview with ESPN, Ronda Rousey made it clear that becoming a movie star was not a childhood dream for her. However, now that the opportunity to embrace Hollywood has been opened up to her, she admitted that she plans to take full advantage of it.

“I didn’t grow up wanting to be an action star. I just didn’t think it was in the cards. Now that it’s a possibility, I’m like, ‘Screw it, I don’t give a s—, if The Rock can become the world’s highest-grossing actor, I can have that same goal.’ I want to be the highest-grossing actor in the world someday.”

During the same interview, Ronda shared some solid advice that she received from Sylvester Stallone while working on The Expendables 3 with the longtime action star.

“Stallone really pulled for me and took me under his wing. The best advice he gave me was to never be embarrassed. He said, ‘Start out over-the-top because it’s a lot easier to tone it down than to rev it up.'”

In addition to playing characters in Furious 7 and The Expendables 3, Ronda Rousey had the chance to play herself on the big-screen earlier this year in the Mark Wahlberg-produced Entourage movie.
