It’s Official: Megyn Kelly Surpasses Bill O’Reilly In Overall Weekly Ratings

After Megyn Kelly asked Donald Trump some questions that people considered “below the belt,” it was assumed — at least among Conservatives — that Kelly’s career was over with. Well, judging by the average of last week’s cable television ratings on Zap2It, Megyn Kelly has defied her critics and has finally risen to the top.

Megyn Kelly’s show averaged 2.66 million viewers this week. In reality, she averaged 2.85 million viewers considering she went on vacation after Wednesday. Many have wondered why Kelly suddenly went on vacation after her ratings soared. Many thought her vacation had something to do with the Trump situation. However, as Mediate reported, Fox News completely denies the rumors.

“The conspiracy theories about Megyn Kelly’s vacation rank up there with UFO’s, the moon landing and Elvis being alive. Megyn is on a pre-planned, annual summer vacation with her family, which is much deserved. To imply otherwise as Donald Trump and his campaign operatives have is not only wildly irresponsible, but downright bizarre.”

Fox’s statement goes on to note that Fox President Roger Ailes has fully supported Kelly and her tough journalistic questioning since day one. Fox says Ailes is thrilled with the added exposure from the debate, which resulted in even higher ratings for The Kelly File this week.

One may assume that Bill O’Reilly, the King of Fox News, is very upset about the ratings. However, there is bad news for O’Reilly’s critics: He also was on vacation for most of the week, despite calling in on a couple segments. The O’Reilly Factor averaged 2.59 million viewers this week — nothing to be upset about. The show’s biggest night was Monday with 2.91 million viewers, and the lowest night was Thursday with 2.37 million viewers.

One of the segments O’Reilly called in for had to do with the downfall of Hillary Clinton. Mr. O’Reilly thinks revelations about Clinton’s emails could mean that Hillary is done.

“However, if there is some e-mails that are embarrassing to her, for example don’t tell anybody about Benghazi, don’t tell anybody this, don’t tell anybody that — she’s through. Then she’s done.”

O’Reilly goes on to compliment the Justice Department for getting into the controversy and forcing Clinton to hand over her emails. He says that if Hillary is innocent, it will be revealed. However, Bill O’Reilly also believes that if Hillary is found guilty, it will be a victory for justice. You can bet that this coming week, Bill O’Reilly will continue his obsession with the Hillary Clinton emails. As for Megyn Kelly, let’s hope she enjoys her vacation.
