Miranda Lambert And Ashley Monroe Are All Smiles On Girls’ ‘Date Night’

Miranda Lambert and Ashley Monroe have been spending a lot of time together in recent weeks. According a report from Us Magazine, Miranda and Ashley headed out together once again on a “date night” on Thursday night. Monroe was the first to share a photo of the smiling pair on her Instagram account, but Miranda soon followed.

The country singing pair are best friends, and Monroe has been supportive when Lambert needs it most. On July 20, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert informed their fans that they were divorcing. The divorce was finalized only hours later.

The couple released a statement to the media that made it clear to their fans that decision to end their marriage was not an easy one.

“This is not the future we envisioned, and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

There had been rumors of trouble in the couple’s marriage, but they had performed an Independence Day concert together at the start of the month. After the divorce news was released, there were new rumors of infidelity on Miranda’s part. A TMZ report claimed that Shelton’s camp accused her of having an affair, but she quickly denied those claims.

In a 2013 interview with People Magazine, Blake Shelton spoke about the openness of their marriage. He hid no secrets from Miranda, and he made it clear that she could question him at any time.

“[I tell Miranda], ‘I have nothing to hide from you.’ That’s always been our policy: ‘Here’s my phone. Go through it.’ … That’s really the kind of trust we have … There are no secrets. [I’ll say], ‘Go dig through my drawers or my computer if you feel like you need to.’ And that’s been a really good thing, because I don’t want her to ever have any doubts.”

Both Miranda and Blake have kept themselves busy in the weeks that followed the divorce announcement. Only two days after the news broke, Miranda was at a Nashville club show to watch Ashley Monroe perform. She even joined the singer on stage after she finished with her set. The pair performed Lambert’s song “Heart like Mine” together, according to Billboard. The pair wrote the song together. In the photo shared by the pair last week, they are both smiling.

Miranda has continued to perform on stage since the divorce, and she has been a bit vocal about her divorce from Shelton, according to another People Magazine report. At one concert in Minnesota earlier this month, several fans reported on Twitter that Miranda Lambert said that, “I wish I’ve been drinking all day. I deserve it: I just got divorced.”

On social media, the couple was initially quiet about their split, but fans saw the pair share some banter on Twitter just days after announcement. The two are able to communicate with each other publicly. The Twitter banter confused their fans though.

One fan even accused the couple of faking their divorce, but Blake fought back at the fan. Sources claim that the couple is trying to “move on as friends.” That may be tested because Miranda and Blake are both scheduled to play the same festival this month.

As for Blake Shelton, he sat down with Brad Paisley just two days after the filing, and the segment aired on Entertainment Tonight last Monday, according to Us Magazine. Blake had a cup that he revealed had a little vodka and ice inside it. He said it was “one of those weeks.” When he was asked about his week, he said plainly, “Well, I got divorced.” Even with the accusations that the divorce is fake, a source revealed to Us Magazine that the both Miranda and Blake are “heartbroken” over the split.

Blake is back to work on the set of The Voice, according to International Business Times. His divorce is not the only one to hit the stars of the reality series this summer. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale announced their split earlier this month. Neither Gwen nor Blake are wearing their wedding rings on set. Gwen is having the harder time of the pair. A source revealed that, “Gwen seems sad.” Another source revealed more about that split.

“It only looks sudden, but everything was worked out months ago so paperwork could be filed and the marriage could be ended quickly and easily. Things were rocky before then but they tried to make the marriage work. But it just couldn’t. A lot of the feeling was gone.”

As for Blake’s state of mind on the set of The Voice, a source shared that, “Blake, on the other hand, seems to have moved on from Miranda and is just over it.” On Friday, Shelton shared a cheeky photo on his Twitter that showed him with his dog. He joked about getting tongue action.

It is clear that Miranda is using touring and her friends at this difficult time. Blake is just keeping busy and using humor to keep going.

Blake and Miranda’s split is just one of many to pop up in the celebrity world this summer. In addition to Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Reba McEntire split from her husband of 26 years, and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their divorce.
