Lady Gaga Takes A Dive And Wows ‘American Horror Story’ Co-Stars

The future star of American Horror Story: Hotel, Lady Gaga, was out to dinner with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump in West Hollywood on Wednesday night, when Ms. Gaga created a spectacle that might have reminded some of the greatest falls of Gerald Ford’s presidency.

As Lady Gaga, dressed in a red and black velvet robe and wearing a pink flower in her blonde hair, was getting into the car, the singer-turned-American Horror Story-actress stumbled over the curb and was only saved from falling flat on her face by her own white car. Lady Gaga’s hands instinctively grabbed the side of the car and, with a little help, she was soon back on her feet, as though nothing had happened.

Lady Gaga may be smiling to save face, following that stumble, but that doesn’t mean there’s no reason for that big, Cheshire cat grin. Talk is beginning to spread about Lady Gaga’s performances as Elizabeth, American Horror Story: Hotel‘s bisexual and polyamorous hotel owner, with her American Horror Story co-stars already praising Gaga.

“She’s probably going to make me her bitch,” joked Angela Bassett. “I think she gets me to do something that I’ve never done before. It’ll be interesting.”

Likewise, Ryan Murphy can’t seem to stop praising Lady Gaga’s work on American Horror Story.

“She has a pretty spectacular murder scene to shoot with Matt Bomer,” Murphy teased earlier this month at the Summer FX TCA panel. “I’m glad that she has Matt because he’s so great and they’ve all socialized. I can’t say enough great things about her.”

Murphy again praised Gaga’s work on American Horror Story: Hotel, when he tweeted his thoughts of her scenes to his followers.

Kathy Bates plays Iris, who basically runs the hotel, so Elizabeth (Lady Gaga) is free to run amok. She also tweeted her thoughts, as filming of American Horror Story: Hotel is underway. To judge by Bates’ comments, it seems Lady Gaga may even compete with Jessica Lange’s Sister Jude from the Asylum season.

Lady Gaga herself tweeted about her American Horror Story character, describing the experience as something more than a mere role.

“Thoughts on first day shooting for AHS? I say, I’ve died and gone to my personal heaven.”

When asked what could be expected of Lady Gaga’s character in general, Ryan Murphy responded with a description that was alluring enough to send chills down the backs of American Horror Story fans everywhere.

“She is a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art, fashion and people, and she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode that plays out over the season.”

The season premiere of American Horror Story: Hotel will air on Wednesday, October 7, on FX.
