Anna Faris On Chris Pratt Cheating Rumors: ‘What The Heck?’

Anna Faris was asked to address rumors of husband Chris Pratt cheating with his Passengers co-star Jennifer Lawrence. Although the reports were false and Ms. Faris hadn’t believed the rumors for a moment, Anna confesses that the gossip had stung, nonetheless.

“I had always kind of believed that part of the rumors of celebrity couples were sort of true because they had never been part of my life. I was like, ‘Oh, maybe there’s a kernel of truth to that.’ It’s been a little devastating because for us, it’s like, ‘What the heck?'” Ms. Faris, 38, said. “This has been blindsiding to us. We have an incredible relationship. It has been weirdly stinging.”

Anna said that it had hurt bad enough to realize people could think their marriage was on the rocks at all, let alone to learn that it was being said that Pratt had planned to stray.

“[That] stung a little bit harder than I thought it would,” admitted Ms. Faris.

Anna says that her pain was only temporary because she trusts Chris and knows that he wouldn’t betray her under any circumstances. Faris met her husband while filming Take Me Home Tonight, and it must have been love at first sight because Anna married Pratt not long afterward.

“I am very lucky that I am with a man [who] values family.”

“These are the work years. The gravy years are to come,” Chris Pratt said of his marriage to Faris earlier this year. “The way we work it out is we just take at least one moment every day to be present with one another. Whether or not we’re in the same room, or the same state, or even the same country, we check in, you know?”

Anna explained that there is much she shares in common with husband Chris, giving them plenty on which to build their relationship.

“Were so lucky that we have the same sense of humor,” Faris says. “We dream about having a little bit of a farm one day.”

Chris and Anna were married in 2009. The happy couple welcomed a son, Jack, into the family last year. Ms. Faris currently stars as Christy on Mom, a CBS sitcom that focuses on a newly sober single mother.

Chris Pratt is set to begin filming on Passengers with co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Micheal Sheen, with a December 21, 2016, theatrical release date.
