Bob Schimmel, Comedian, Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges


Bob SchimmelComedian Bob Schimmel has been arrested on charges of domestic violence, reports indicate. Schimmel, 59, is accused of beating his wife, Melissa Schimmel.

Bob Schimmel Arrest

Bob (aka Robert) Schimmel was taken into custody over the weekend, the New York Daily News reports. The paper cites police statements saying officers went to Schimmel’s Los Angeles home and discovered marks of some sort on his wife.

Schimmel was being held in jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Robert Schimmel’s Wife: Melissa Schimmel

Robert Schimmel’s wife, Melissa Schimmel, is about half his age. The two met via Schimmel’s daughter, with whom Melissa was friends. The two married after Schimmel apparently divorced his first wife three times.

    Like they say bad publicity is better than no publicity….I don't condone his alleged actions BUT I've heard of him before and never was inclined to watch his stand up and hes a funny guy. Melissa (wife) will stay with him and this shall pass. Maybe the he can get some help because violence doesn't resolve shit unless your in a contact sport that requires it.
