Kristen Stewart Comes Out? Says She Prefers To Live Undefined
Kristen Stewart was asked about her sexuality in a recent magazine interview. Stewart graced the cover of the popular pop culture and fashion magazine Nylon recently, and was asked if she would like to pronounce her sexual preference. The 25-year-old American actress, best known for her role as Bella in The Twilight Saga, says she’s not hiding but declined to give a definitive answer.
Fans will apparently have to Google Kristin to know whether she’s gay or straight. A lengthy relationship with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson would obviously lead fans to believe Stewart prefers dating men. Was it that relationship that actually turned Kristen Stewart towards the same sex? Pattinson and Stewart did have a very unpredictable and somewhat conflicted romance for years, that ended with Stewart cheating on Pattinson with film director Rupert Sanders.
In a June interview with the Mirror, Stewart’s mom confirmed that her daughter was, indeed, dating a woman. Kristen tried to keep her new relationship with her personal assistant, Alicia Cargile, private after a very public relationship with Pattinson. Stewart actually prefers to keep her private life private, despite the fact that she’s famous. A close friend of Kristen and daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, 26-year-old actress Riley Keough, said she’s only met three people in her life who doesn’t care what people think.
“There’s not one part of that girl that’s caught up in Hollywood or cares about the opinions of others or whatever else,” said Keough of Stewart.
Kristen did admit that she created how the public perceives her. According to Gossip Cop, Stewart wishes that she was not recognizable. She just wants to be left alone to do her own thing and says she hates it when people look at her. Reportedly not able to set parameters that define her, Kristen says she wants to live in ambiguity. Stewart went on to say that she doesn’t feel like it would be true to herself to say definitively that she’s gay or straight or even bisexual.
“I think in three or four years, there are going to be a whole lot more people who don’t think it’s necessary to figure out if you’re gay or straight. It’s like, just do your thing.”
Stewart’s mom is accepting that her daughter loves both men and women, saying we all choose our friends, so we should be free to choose our lovers. But is Stewart accepting of Pattinson’s new love and recently announced fiancée, British pop singer FKA Twigs? Fans of Twilight are dying to know if the actress even still keeps in touch with her ex, which is a topic Kristen says she will never talk about in public. But her actions may speak louder than words. According to a recent report by the Inquisitr, Kristen refused to share the red carpet with Pattinson and Twigs at a recent Met Gala event in New York.
Kristen even had a dress picked out for the event, but canceled at the last minute with less than 24 hours notice. Rumors are that Stewart is desperate to avoid Pattinson, but the real reason she was a no-show at the Gala event will probably only always just be known to Kristen Stewart.
