‘Star Wars’ Coming To Disneyland Rumors Getting More Solid Ground Before D23

Star Wars and Disneyland are pretty much standard household names, and no one can not know about the Star Wars franchise and not want to visit Disneyland at least once.

Well, the rumors coming in lately may mean well for all Star Wars fans wanting to visit Disneyland because news that the famous Star Wars franchise is coming to Disneyland is getting more and more solid ground right before D23 kicks in this weekend, MiceChat reports.

MiceChat is a website for all things Disney and Disneyland, and they have been fairly credible when it comes to leaks and rumors. Right before the D23 expo is held this weekend, those at MiceChat are already breaking news that Disneyland is cooking up something good for Star Wars — and by something good, we mean a possible Star Wars land for all Star Wars fans out there.

According to their sources, the plans for Star Wars land has increased rapidly in scale since the Tomorrowland proposal years ago, and the Star Wars land could possibly already land right on the north of Disneyland. This means that there is a big possibility that the upcoming Star Wars land could evict the Festival Arena, the Circle D Ranch, Mickey’s Toontown, and several rehearsal halls and office buildings just north of Toontown.

MiceChat has even released a possible plan for the Star Wars land project, and claims that rides and shows for the Star Wars land are already getting developed in secret.

“The rides and shows in the land itself are being developed in a top secret Imagineering lab in Glendale with Imagineers signing extra confidentiality agreements because the plotlines and characters are pulled from the next three episodes in the Star Wars saga and the Lucasfilm folks understandably guard that information with their lives. But what we can tell you is that Star Wars Land will include multiple attractions, anchored by a mega E Ticket using a trackless vehicle that will break the mold when it comes to how theme park visitors interact with a ride environment.”

The Inquisitr previously reported that Bob Iger has dropped some major bomb about Star Wars coming to theme parks like Disneyland in February, and the news about Star Wars land is looking positive since then.

Fairly soon, I’m sure we’ll be ready to go public with some specifics [regarding Star Wars land]. But it’s safe to say that you’ll see a lot more Star Wars at Disney and at Disney parks in the near future.”

With the D23 Expo 2015 two days away, Star Wars fans hoping for the reality of Star Wars land will only have to wait for just a couple more days to rejoice or go home sad—that is, if the Star Wars land news is really getting revealed at the D23 Expo. So if you have the time, do check out the lineup of events at the Anaheim Convention Center from August 14 to 16.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be arriving in theatres in December, 2015.
