Amber Portwood Weight Loss Revealed: ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Shares How She Lost 36 Pounds With Low-Carb Diet [Video]

Amber Portwood flaunted her weight loss on Twitter in a surprise for her followers. Portwood, known as the Teen Mom OG star, shared that she is just 15 pounds from her goal weight, reported Us Weekly.

“36 lbs down and 15 more to go…almost at my goal,” shared Amber.

Portwood revealed her weight loss secrets at the request of her fans. The 25-year-old claimed that she had no problems shedding the pounds by following a low-carb diet.

“Cut out bad carbs like sugar and cut down on pasta to start… also try to not eat trans fats,” tweeted Amber.

Portwood also noted that she credits her weight loss to eating a healthier diet.

“Eating healthy and cutting out bad carbs… took about 4 months… but I fell off for a couple weeks,” tweeted Amber, currently is engaged to fiancé Matt Baier.

Portwood debuted her weight loss just before the newest season of Teen Mom OG premieres, reported the Daily Mail.

Amber, who initially became famous on 16 and Pregnant, has one child, Leah Shirley, who is 6. Leah’s father is Gary Shirley.

Portwood credited her fiancé for helping her with her weight loss.

“My babe makes me breakfast every morning..lucky gal,” shared Amber.

Although they became engaged on Teen Mom OG, Portwood and Matt haven’t revealed their wedding date yet, and Amber may be waiting until she’s achieved her goal weight to announce it.

But Portwood does have many of her wedding details ready to share.

“My dream wedding, I know for sure, my cousin Krystal would be the maid of honor at the wedding because she’s the closest person to me. She’s like my best friend,” said Amber. “And of course I want all the Teen Moms, all the girls, I want them to be my bridesmaids. I mean, they have to be a part of it.”

But Portwood hasn’t had an easy life thus far. As detailed in her recent book, Never Too Late, she received a five-year sentence for drug charges. After 17 months at the Rockville Correctional Facility in Indiana, Amber was released.

Portwood subsequently met Matt, and is hoping for a happy future.

Amber isn’t the only Teen Mom to have a rocky past. As the Inquisitr reported, Jenelle Evans called off her wedding to Nathan Griffith after the Teen Mom 2 star accused her fiancé of constantly arguing with her.

Nathan is the father of one of Jenelle’s children, and it was Kaiser, 12-months-old, for whom they had problem locating a babysitter. That reportedly is what escalated the argument that ended in Evans calling off the wedding.
