Mega Millions Winning Numbers August 11: Did You Win The $25 Million Jackpot?

Do you have the winning Mega Millions numbers for August 11? The jackpot now stands at $25 million with no winner since one lucky lottery player won $25 million on July 31.

Mega Millions drawings take place at 11 p.m. ET on Tuesday and Friday nights. Enter your ticket numbers into the free LotteryHUB app and it will automatically alert you if you won a jackpot or non-jackpot prize. The app, available for iPhone and Android phones, can also be used to watch the live drawings for both Mega Millions and Powerball lottery games.

Tonight’s winning numbers are: 3, 8, 29, 57, 68 MB 8 Megaplier 4

No one won the jackpot in the last Mega Millions drawing on August 7 (1-38-53-63-66 MB 10 Megaplier 3), so the jackpot increased from $20 million to $25 million for the August 11 drawing. If no one wins tonight, the jackpot will rise to at least $30 million for the next drawing on August 14.

If you do win the big jackpot tonight, keep in mind lottery winnings are subject to immediate federal tax (25 percent) and most states also deduct taxes from the prize. The following states do no tax lottery winnings: California, Delaware, Florida, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming.

According to USA Mega, a potential $25 million jackpot winner would take home a lump sum of $11,475,000 after federal taxes are deducted.

Mega Millions jackpot winners also have option to spread the payments out over 30 years. If you choose the annuity option, you will receive approximately $625,000 per year, with a yearly five percent cost of living increase after the first payment.

The most important thing you can do before you go claim your prize is to sign your ticket. If not, anyone that presents the ticket and an ID can cash it. Before you start planning your next vacation or head out to buy a luxury car with your winnings, it’s a good idea to contact an attorney and a financial advisor before claiming your prize.

NBC gives several tips that winners should read before they start spending their new-found wealth. With several million dollars in your bank account, you can live a comfortable lifestyle if you invest properly and listen to the advice of a financial professional.

The odds of winning tonight’s grand prize are approximately 1 in 259 million, but it’s an amazing return on a $1 investment if you beat the odds. Mega Millions tickets are sold at lottery retailers in 44 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Most retailers stop selling tickets approximately 45 minutes prior to the 11 p.m. ET drawing, while others have a cutoff time of 15 minutes before the drawing.
