Sorry, Zayn Malik: Harry Styles Will Be One Direction’s Big Solo Star, According To Louis Walsh

According to Louis Walsh, Harry Styles is the member of One Direction most likely to have a successful career as a solo artist. Harry wasn’t the first guy in the group to strike out on his own, but sticking with the band a bit longer may prove to be a smart move in the long run — Directioners will always admire his dedication to the group and the 1D fandom.

During an interview with Music Week, Louis Walsh predicted that Harry Styles and his band mates will produce one more album before the remaining four members of One Direction decide to break up and go their separate ways. Zayn Malik tried to become the Justin Timberlake of the group by being the first singer to jump ship, but Walsh believes that Styles will eventually emerge as One Direction’s biggest solo star.

The former X Factor UK judge thinks that Harry Styles will have a long and illustrious career because he has more going for him than his boyish good looks and his superb singing voice. According to Walsh, Harry has the drive needed to stay in the spotlight as a superstar.

“They’ve had an amazing run. I don’t know who’s going to be a [solo] star. If I was betting on anybody, I’d put my money on Harry [Styles], because he’s got the ambition. Ambition and work ethic, to me they’re as important as talent. The best singers in the world are backing singers, but they’re not stars.”

A big part of being a successful star is doing little things that make fans smile, and Harry is well-versed in the art of making ovaries explode, giving fans the feels, and responding to the crazy things that fangirls do when they’re lucky enough to find themselves in his presence. According to Unreality TV, Harry provided a perfect example of why he’s a bona fide superstar during One Direction’s recent concert in Baltimore. Directioners started throwing lemons at Harry, but he didn’t get mad — he had a little fun with the fruit by kicking them off the stage.

“When life gives ya lemons, you kick the lemon away,” Styles joked. “That’s what you do.”

Harry also made thousands of ovaries explode by telling the Baltimore audience that he wanted to “kiss every single one” of the fans in attendance.

Harry doesn’t even need music to become One Direction’s biggest solo success. As the Inquisitr previously reported, bigwig Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein wants Harry to follow in Justin Timberlake’s footsteps by pursuing an acting career. Weinstein thinks that the singer is “super-charismatic,” and he’s already described Harry as a “movie star.”

Do you agree with Louis Walsh that Harry Styles will have the most successful solo career after leaving One Direction, or do you think Zayn Malik’s head start will help him become the next Justin Timberlake?
