Utah Mom Helps 13 Year Old Daughter Sext 30 Year Old Boyfriend
A Utah mom was arrested for helping her teenage daughter sext with her boyfriend.
According to reports by the Huffington Post, the woman is charged with taking nude photos of her 13 year old daughter in order to send them to her boyfriend, a 30 year old Oregon man.
The 35 year old woman from Duchesne County, who is not being named in order to protect the identity of the daughter, was charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second degree felony, after investigators say the woman took nude photos of her teenage daughter knowing of her intent to send them to the 30 year old Oregon man who had given her the phone.
Each of the second-degree felony charges is punishable with a maximum of eight years in jail and a $15,000 fine.
The woman’s 13 year old daughter told authorities her boyfriend had requested that she send him naked photos of herself and provided her with the cell phone. She went on to explain that her mother snapped three nude photos of the girl after she could not figure out how to work the cell phone to do it herself and sent them to the Oregon man.
In an interview with detectives, the mother said she knew the girl planned to send the photos to the man and corroborated the girl’s statement.
After authorities in Utah contacted authorities in Oregon an investigation is now underway in the allegations against the man accused of asking for and receiving the photos of the underage girl.
