WWE News: Backstage Update On ‘WWE Raw’ Tonight And How It Will Be Booked

The WWE just got off a very successful Australian tour in which a great reception was had. Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho stole the show multiple times on the trip. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins reportedly had matches better than their PPV bouts. On top of that, hometown kid Emma got to wrestle in front of her friends an family. All together, the WWE had a nice run in Australia once again.

Last week’s episode of WWE Raw was a great one, in fact, it got rave reviews from WWE fans on social media. Even without John Cena, the company’s top guy, Rollins and Paul Heyman helped carry the load. Cesaro also proved why he is connecting with the fans.

The Cesaro Section was over 6,000 fans in attendance that night. WWE is planning a good night of programming once again. The wrestling might not be as top-notch as last week. According to Cageside Seats, the Australian tour could spell a difference for tonight’s WWE Raw.

“It’s going around that tonight’s episode of Raw might be angle heavy, at least for the wrestlers who went on the Australian tour to give them a little extra time to recover from the long trip.”

Two WWE stars should make their return tonight on the show. According to the Inquisitr, Ryback is supposed to come back tonight after being diagnosed with a bad staph infection. His right knee nearly swelled up to twice the normal size, and it needed to recover for at least a few weeks. He’s rumored to face the Miz and the Big Show for the Intercontinental championship at WWE SummerSlam.

The other WWE star is none other than Dolph Ziggler. Rusev took him out over a month ago in their feud and he’s rumored to come back and push for a match with Rusev at WWE SummerSlam. Ziegler made his actual comeback at a WWE live event last night.

Ziggler should be done filming the movie he and Kane were working on, so Ziggler will get a nice pop tonight. Also, Stephen Amell is coming to WWE Raw to confront Stardust. They’ve feuded on Twitter and the WWE Universe has clamored for Amell’s debut on WWE TV for some time now. John Cena will also make his return to WWE TV tonight.

Needless to say, WWE Raw may be angle-heavy tonight, as the report suggests above. With three top guys returning tonight, expect a lot of microphone time for a least two of them. Also, Arrow won’t wrestle, so expect him to dish out words to Stardust, WWE’s resident comic book villain.
