Chris Klein Marries: ‘American Pie’ Actor Weds Girlfriend Laina Rose Thyfault In Montana Ceremony
Chris Klein had his American Wedding.
The American Pie actor, 36, married his longtime girlfriend on Sunday in Montana. Klein and Laina Rose Thyfault reportedly exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at an outdoor church overlooking the Gallatin River.
“Laina and Chris wanted to stay true to the nature of Montana and chose native grasses, sage, and flowers in a soft color palette to reflect the beauty of Montana,” their wedding planner Jennifer Horsley told People magazine.
The setting for Klein’s wedding sounds pristine. The ceremony took place at the Rainbow Ranch, which is nestled in the natural beauty of Montana’s wilderness.

Klein and Thyfault got engaged last December after dating for several years. The relationship with the travel agent was a change of pace for Klein, who had a string of high-profile relationships. He was engaged to actress Katie Holmes in December 2003, but the couple split up in March 2005. Not long after the split, she began to date Tom Cruise, and not long afterward Holmes announced that she was pregnant.
Klein went on to date actress Ginnifer Goodwin for two years, splitting in 2008.
At the time of these high-profile relationships Klein also struggled with alcohol, with arrested related to drinking and driving in 2005 and 2010. But Klein went to rehab in 2010 and has reportedly been sober since then.
Chris Klein seemed to be very happy with Thyfault, and particularly thrilled when announcing their engagement late last year.

Sources at the time said that Klein and Thyfault didn’t plan on having a long engagement, and that appeared to be the case. It was only eight months between the time they announced their engagement and when they walked the aisle in front of 150 family and friends.
Their wedding this weekend brought the relationship full circle for Chris Klein and Laina Rose Thyfault. They first met years ago at a wedding for a mutual friend.
