How Far Does Joe Bailey Make It On ‘Bachelor In Paradise’? Sweet Kentucky Joe Becomes ‘Paradise’ Villain

Joe Bailey arrives on Bachelor in Paradise on Sunday night and the sweet-talking Kentucky guy from Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s season of the Bachelorette will quickly turn into this season’s villain.

How long far will Joe make it on ABC’s summer reality show, and why does he get the villain edit?

[Spoilers ahead]

Joe’s Bachelorette Season 11 co-star, Joshua Albers as well as Michael Garofola from Des Hartsock’s season, arrive in Paradise on Sunday night. Joe reportedly comes packing a suitcase full of lies, but those won’t be uncovered until another contestant — Samantha Steffan — arrives in an upcoming episode. Even Joe is warning viewers not to watch — will it be that bad?

According to Reality Steve, Joe’s time on Bachelor in Paradise will start out with no drama. He will go on his first date with single mom Juelia Kinney (Chris Soules’ season) and will accept her rose at the Week 2 rose ceremony.

However, that will be the end of their reality TV romance when Samantha Steffan (Chris Soules’ season) arrives on Week 3. Reality Steve reports that Joe and Samantha knew each other prior to the show, yet she tells the other contestants she doesn’t know anyone on the show.

“During this episode sometime after Samantha and Joe’s date, it’s discovered they were talking to each other before the season even though Samantha claimed she didn’t know anyone, and this kinda blew up in their faces because they lied to everyone. Samantha and Joe end up being this season’s volatile couple that ran hot and cold.”

Samantha and Joe go on a date after she arrives, leaving Juelia Kinney broken-hearted and quite possibly leading fans to call him this season’s “villain.”

The web of lies gets even bigger when Nick Peterson arrives on Week 4. Spoilers indicate Nick is yet another guy who Samantha knew prior to the show. Joe finds out about Samantha’s history with the Bachelor Pad 3 winner, the lies blow up in her face, and Joe loses his cool.

“It was established at some point during this episode that Samantha was also talking to Nick before the season as well which apparently led to another Joe/Samantha fight.”

In a surprising twist, Samantha decides to give her Week 4 rose to Dan Cox, Nick accepts a rose from Ashley S., and Joe is left rose-less and leaves Paradise single.

Watch Bachelor in Paradise on Sunday and Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
