Will.i.am Leaves ‘The Voice’ After Four Years

Will.i.am has left The Voice, the U.K. version, after being a coach on it for four years, according to the Daily Mail. Will, 40, allegedly spoke with bosses at BBC and told them that he was not going to be back as a coach for the fifth series of the show. Filming for the talent competition starts next month.

Apparently, producers of The Voice really wanted Will to remain on the show. Producers also allegedly offered will a huge payout, but Will ended up turning it down, and said that the time had come to move on.

BBC bosses were told by Will that he believes he has already achieved everything that he can achieve on the show, according to Daily Star.

According to Mirror, Will was also disappointed that fellow coach Rita Ora exited the show. On top of that, Will may have been frustrated that the show has yet to produce an international star. As Inquisitr previously reported, Ora said that she exited the show due to her conflicting scheduling. She also said that leaving the show had nothing to do with the other coaches on the show. Ora praised the show and said that her experience on it was surreal. Also, she is said to be getting ready for a stint as a judge on The X-Factor, a singing competition.

Will may have been upset that Leah McFall, Will’s former contestant, didn’t do as well on the charts as Will would have liked her to do. As for who will be replacing Will as a judge/coach on the show, it is being said that singer Jason Derulo has been tapped as his replacement.

Even though Will will no longer appear as a coach on the show, he is likely going to keep himself busy. Recently, he posted on Facebook, saying that he was going to be performing in Japan, and people would have to earn a ticket to go and see the show. Will also recently shared a video of a recent project that he worked on with Lexus Europe.

Will may not be returning to the show, but Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson are expected to return. Kylie Minogue may end up returning, too, but as of now, it is only rumored that she will be back. Sir Tom Jones has been with the show since 2012, while Ricky Wilson has been with the show since the third series.
