Miley Cyrus Serves Up A Fresh Batch Of Bad Blood For Taylor Swift

Wait for it, folks. Miley Cyrus fired the first salvo in the latest round of her on-again/off-again feud with Taylor Swift. But if there’s one thing that Taylor is known for — aside from making millions of dollars as a multi-platinum recording artist, that is — it’s well-timed counter punch.

In a recent interview with Marie Claire, the woman who played Hannah Montana in a previous life slammed the imagery employed by Taylor Swift in her epic “Bad Blood” video. As previously noted by Inquisitr, the video is widely believed to be a thinly veiled (and mean-spirited) send-up of Swift’s long-running rivalry with fellow diva Katy Perry.

“I don’t get the violence revenge thing. That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my t*****s out? I’m not sure how t*****s are worse than guns.”

Miley’s comments came in the context of a larger discussion about double standards in the music industry. In addition to discussing contradictory stances on sex and violence, E! Online noted that Cyrus also touched upon on perceptions of artists who discuss recreational drug use.

“There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it … Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he’s cool. I do it and I’m a druggie w**re.”

E! Online reports that Taylor Swift hasn’t rushed to take issue with Miley just yet, so in the interim, U.K.-based news source the Mirror compiled a list of some of the more public dust-ups between Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift. To be sure, Miley comes out as a lady who has no problems stirring the pot every so often. Of particular note is the time that Miley allegedly referred to Taylor as “sexless.” Then there’s the one where Billy Ray’s pride and joy switched the mugs on a snapshot of Swift and Justin Bieber and then posted it to Instagram with the caption “If you faceswap Justin Beiber and Taylor Swift, they look like a cute lesbian couple.” Yeesh, Miley.

While social media gives celebrities an omnipresent and ever-ready platform for fast payback, Taylor Swift might do well to ruminate for a while on how to respond to Miley Cyrus this time around. After all, fans probably wouldn’t mind seeing a big budget sequel to the “Bad Blood” video and a naked, tongue-wagging woman on a wrecking ball would make one heck of a great foil for Taylor’s on-screen alter ego, Catastrophe.
