Jenelle Evans Of ‘Teen Mom 2’ Calls Off Engagement — Again

Jenelle Evans of MTV’s Teen Mom 2 fame called off her engagement on Tuesday, according to Entertainment Tonight. This is the second time that Evans has called it quits with Nathan Griffith, the father of her second child, Kaiser, who is a year old.

Jenelle reportedly gave her fiancé the engagement ring back two weeks ago. The pair became engaged in January.

Evans, 23, is the mother of a 6-year-old son, Jace, with whom she was pregnant (and then raising) while appearing on the second installment of MTV’s reality show Teen Mom.

Evans and Griffith have had a stormy relationship, much like Evans’ relationship with her mother, Barbara, who helped raise Janelle’s son Jace while Evans was in jail or unable to properly care for the child.

Barbara Evans was awarded full custody of Jenelle’s son Jace shortly after his birth, though Jenelle continued to live with her mother and son for a time. The mother and daughter have been involved in an ongoing custody battle since Jenelle apparently cleaned up her life.

Jenelle was alleged to have attacked Griffith while she was pregnant with their son two years ago. In March of this year, Griffith was arrested on domestic violence charges, and two months later, Evans was arrested for the same. It was a short time later that the pair reunited — only a month after Evans’ arrest for battery.

“Every time an issue comes up, it’s like Nathan is never my teammate,” Evans declared in one episode of Teen Mom 2.

Still, despite the allegations and arrests, Evans is still being supported by her many fans and followers on Twitter.

Janelle says despite her breakup with Nathan Griffith, she is not going to jump back into a relationship but is instead going to “focus on” herself.

The (now) single mother of two told ET Online, “I’m not looking to date anyone at the moment. I am focusing on myself.”
