Kim Richards Update: ‘RHOBH’ Star’s Family Hopes Judge Will Order Her Back To Rehab

Kim Richards was recently arrested, and unfortunately for the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, that’s not her only ongoing court case. Months ago, Kim Richards was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she had reportedly become intoxicated, and now she’s headed back to court to address the case against her.

Going into the court date, Kim Richards’ family is said to be hoping the former reality star will be forced to reenter rehab to continue her treatment for alcohol addiction. Throughout the year, Kim Richards has visited at least two separate rehab facilities in hopes of getting sober, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to have been enough.

According to a Radar Online report on August 7, Kim Richards’ family is hoping the judge on her case “will order her to rehab as part of a plea deal drawn up by her attorney Robert Shapiro and the district attorney.”

“The terms of the deal they initially agreed upon included three years of probation, 30 days in jail or 30 days community labor, and 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. This had all been agreed upon before her latest arrest, and the DA is more than likely to add an additional term of rehab for at least 90 days.”

Kim Richards has struggled with alcohol addiction for several years and chronicled much of those struggles, as well as her previous sobriety success, on episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“[Kim Richards]’s family wants her attorney to not fight the rehab because it’s so obvious she needs it. Even though she has several failed rehab stints, the family thinks this is the last hope to save Kim’s life.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards’ family has been fairly silent in regard to her second arrest, but earlier this week, Kim’s sister, Kyle, seemed to address the issue on her Instagram account with a message that read, “Judge tenderly, if you must. There is usually a side you have not heard, a story you know nothing about and a battle waged that you are not having to fight.”

Meanwhile, Kathy Hilton, the older half-sister of Kim Richards, shared several re-tweets on her Twitter page from fans who were offering support to Richards and the rest of the Hilton/Richards family.

Kim Richards was reportedly fired from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills weeks ago and is not expected to appear on Season 6 in any capacity.
