Both Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are no strangers when it comes to the CMA Awards. Yes, the duo has seven years of experience under their belts when it comes to hosting the annual event, but they also both have won multiple Country Music Association Awards over the past few years.
According to E! News, Carrie Underwood alone has won five CMA Awards since winning her season on American Idol. Her awards include Female Vocalist of the Year from 2006 through 2008, Single of the Year in 2007 for her hit song, “Before He Cheats,” and finally, the Horizon Award in 2006.
Brad Paisley, on the other hand, has won a total of 14 CMA Awards over the years according to E! News. His wins include “the Horizon Award (in 2000), Vocal Event of the Year (in 2001 for ‘Too Country’), Music Video of the Year (in 2002 for ‘I’m Gonna Miss Her,’ in 2004 for ‘Whiskey Lullaby,’ in 2007 for ‘Online’ and in 2008 for ‘Waitin’ on a Woman’), Musical Event of the Year (in 2004 for ‘Whiskey Lullaby,’ in 2006 for ‘When I Get Where I’m Going’ and in 2009 for ‘Start a Band’ with Keith Urban), Album of the Year (in 2006 for Time Well Wasted), Male Vocalist of the Year (in 2007, 2008 and 2009) and Entertainer of the Year (in 2010).”
While there are some out there that believe Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley’s act as hosts for the CMAs is a bit overdone, by the looks of the clip below, there is no end to the fun that the duo has while getting read for and while hosting the CMA’s from year to year.
The 2015 CMA Awards are set to air live from Nashville on November 4, 2015, at 8 p.m. on ABC. Will you be tuning in to see Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley? Let us know in the comments below!
