‘Deadpool’ Star Ryan Reynolds Talks Blake Lively Giving Birth, Reveals Naked Photo Prank

Ryan Reynolds is one proud papa! The Deadpool star and his wife, Blake Lively, have often been hush-hush about everything concerning their relationship, especially since the birth of their daughter, James, in 2014.

This made it all the more surprising when he stopped by Conan to unveil the first trailer to the hotly anticipated Deadpool. Instead of sticking to news about his new movie, E! News reports that Reynolds shared some news about the milestones that baby James is hitting.

“Right now she’s starting to say ‘mama,’ but there’s an unfair advantage there. It turns out that breasts are actually a life support system and the child seems to gravitate towards the breasts. I’m just the breastsless a**hole wandering around the room and getting in her sightline every once in a while.”

He also got quite candid, talking about how well Lively handled the whole birthing process, but had to admit, he was not the greatest coach in the delivery room.

“I was there in the delivery room. I mean, I was there for the conception of the child, so I thought the least I could do is be there in the delivery room. I’m not going to lie to you—I saw things. But amazing [things]! My wife is, I mean she is a mercenary. At one point in the middle of the delivery the doctor’s cell phone went off and she went, ‘Oh, no. Go ahead, take a personal call.’ She was cracking jokes in the delivery room. She may have been taking drugs, but I don’t ask personal questions.

I was just a terrible coach… There was a lot of clapping. I went for a couple of high-fives but she did not.”

Moving on, the Deadpool star shared his response to his father taking hundreds of boring pictures on an old school digital camera and then using dial-up Internet in order to share with family.

“I was about 18 years old. In the middle of dinner, I grabbed the camera and I went in the bathroom and I just took a picture of my penis. I just wanted to see if he would naturally edit these photos at some point… One day—I hope it doesn’t happen—there’s a penis picture of mine floating around somewhere.”

His little “revenge” stunt also lead to the Green Lantern star explaining to Conan O’Brien that he really does not understand why people think sexting is the least bit sexy.

“I’ve heard of people who are sexting and stuff, like sending a picture of a penis. I can’t think of anything more threatening to send a woman than a picture of a penis… In terms of sexy, it’s just a wrung below a picture of yourself committing domestic terrorism. Like, I don’t know why someone does that.”
