Liam Payne Attacks New Yorkers: Feels Like A ‘Cornered Animal’

One Direction star Liam Payne has lost his chill in a big way. Payne and his One Direction band-mates Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson are hounded everywhere they go. Fans and paparazzi photographers camp outside their homes or hotels. Payne and his pals cannot walk the street without being photographed, asked for autographs or selfies, and privacy is an almost non-existent luxury. At various times during the last five years Payne and his mates have expressed how difficult it is to live life in the public eye as they do.

Undoubtedly some will have little sympathy for Payne because they signed up for the lifestyle. Simon Cowell’s publicity machine does everything in it’s power to ensure that the “cash cow” that is One Direction is milked for as long as its lifespan is. For Payne’s former band-mate it all became too much and he quit the band. At various times all of the band have shown signs of the strain they are under.

Just last week it was reported in Inquisitr that Niall Horan took to twitter to plead with fans to stop chasing their cars at high speed on the highway. The actions of careless drivers puts the lives of Payne, Horan, fans and the public at risk.

According to Heatworld Payne lost his cool last night with fans and paparazzi photographers who chased him and girlfriend Sophia Smith around New York City. Apparently Liam lost his cool after so called fans shouted vile abuse at him for failing to stop for photographs with fans as he tried to escape the paparazzi.

Liam took to Twitter to slam those who hounded him and refused to understand that he is entitled to a little privacy. In a series of posts Payne slammed New Yorkers and said that he was made to feel like “a cornered animal.”

Payne said, “Why is it that in New York people think it’s ok to swear and shout horrible things at you in the street…”

“Just because u don’t feel like taking a picture because there’s paparazzi chasing you and you want to get your family and friends home safe.

“One time id like to be able to see New York without being followed chased and cornered like an animal until other people get what they want. [sic]”

According to Yahoo! Celebrity as a result of Liam lashing out One Direction fans soon had the hashtag#RespectLiam trending on Twitter.

Liam’s pal Niall supported him on Twitter when he too asked fans to give them some space.

The irony of Liam Payne and his pals being constantly hounded is that in time the pressure will prove too much and they will follow Zayn Malik out the door.
