Arrest Details: ‘RHOBH’ Kim Richards Allegedly Stole ‘More Than 100 Items’ From Target [Report]

New arrest details regarding Kim Richards’ alleged shoplifting at a Van Nuys, California, Target store have been revealed. Two days after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was taken into custody, Us Weekly reported the new arrest details, one of which claimed she took more than 100 items out of the store without paying.

On August 4, the Los Angeles City Attorney told the magazine of the allegations against Richards, and revealed the items, mainly toys, “totaled about $612.” In addition, claimed the attorney, Richards was both charged and arraigned on Monday on one count of petty theft.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, TMZ released arrest details hours prior, claiming the reality star was said to have been homeless at the time of her arrest.

“Kim Richards was living out of her car when she was arrested Sunday for shoplifting at Target… Kim had been house-hopping since leaving rehab last month. She quickly ran out of friends and relatives who would extend themselves, and has been homeless ever since.”

Prior to the shocking arrest details, Richards has reportedly been living with her sister, Kathy Hilton, at the Los Angeles home she shares with husband Rick Hilton. Richards was allegedly joined in the residence’s guest house by her ex-husband, Monty Brinson, who she’s cared for in the last year as he battles cancer.

After learning of the arrest details, Brinson spoke out in Richards’ defense, claiming he couldn’t imagine her shoplifting. Below is what he said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight on Monday.

“I am in complete shock. Guaranteed this must be some kind of mistake, and the facts will come out soon. She was arrested for shoplifting toys in a cart, but this was a clear misunderstanding. This was not alcohol or drug related.”

One day prior, Brinson seemingly spoke of the incident as well. On Facebook, without mentioning Richards or her arrest, Brinson wrote, “Day is over, night has come. Today is gone, what’s done is done. Embrace your dreams through the night, tomorrow comes a whole new light. Pray for everybody, I believe everyone has a good heart and I know I have a big heart, just want happiness for everyone #quote #saying #family #life #love #heart #family #children #dreams #happiness.”

According to Us Weekly‘s latest arrest details, Richards has pleaded not guilty and is due in court on August 20. She will not be returning for the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
