Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale Divorce ‘Long Time Coming?’ [Report]
Was Gwen Stefani’s divorce to Gavin Rossdale a long time coming? That’s what alleged sources close to the rock star couple say. According to several anonymous sources, there were hints that Gwen and Gavin’s marriage was on the brink of ending.
Even celebrity blogger Perez Hilton noticed signs that the popular couple’s marriage was coming to an end. On Thursday, July 30, personal belongings were seen outside of Rossdale and Stefani’s home in Los Angeles before they announced their divorce on Monday, Aug. 3.

The sighting was giving the blogger a sense of déjà-vu. Days before Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner made their divorce announcement, moving trucks were seen parked in front of their home. In addition, items were seen outside Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s home just days after they announced their divorce.
However, it’s unclear whether it was Stefani or Rossdale that moved out of the home.
Now cheating rumors are following Gwen and Gavin once again. Back in 2010, Courtney Love revealed to Howard Stern that she slept with the Bush frontman while he was still with Gwen. There were also rumors for years that claimed that Gavin was cheating on the No Doubt singer long before they were married.
According to an inside source, Stefani and Rossdale’s divorce was “a long time coming.” The insider told TMZ that it’s only the fans who are shocked about the couple’s decision to go their separate ways.
“It only looks sudden, but everything was worked out months ago so paperwork could be filed and the marriage could be ended quickly and easily.”
The source also added that Gwen decided to file for divorce because she believed that Gavin was unfaithful during their time together. The couple tried to save their marriage, even after their third son, Apollo, was born seven months ago.
“Things were rocky before then but they tried to make the marriage work, but it just couldn’t. A lot of the feeling was gone.”
The insider also added that Stefani didn’t like it whenever Rossdale had to leave his family to tour with his band. The fashion designer tried to make him stop touring and become a stay-at-home dad, even though she still toured with her band.
Even Gavin hinted to Rolling Stone magazine that their marriage wasn’t easy all the time. He added that Gwen “keeps you in check at the house.”
“You might come in with two of something, and she’s got 12 of something. You can never get over-excited, there’s something about that.”
In her March 2015 interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, Stefani says that the reason why her marriage with Rossdale worked was that they did their own thing most of the time.
“It’s good to have those days when we both do our own things. I think that’s what keeps relationships going, when both people can be themselves and have their own individuality.”
It sounds like Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s marriage couldn’t work for long. With the evidence of personal belongings outside their home, coupled with the infidelity rumors, it looks like this divorce was in the works. Rumors have been swirling that Rossdale cheated on Stefani with both their nanny and his alleged gay lover.
