Jennifer Lawrence: Reunion With Ex Boyfriend, Toxic Costumes, And Amy Schumer’s ‘Best Hang’

Jennifer Lawrence is set to reunite with her ex-boyfriend on the set of the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse film. Although this would possibly result in awkward tension and anxiety for some, Lawrence seems to be maintaining her cool about the upcoming circumstance and, in true JLaw fashion, is shifting the subject of concern from the reunion to the suit which she’ll have to pull on as the character, Mystique.

Ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult is of little concern to the award-winning actress, who has recently shared her hesitation about the getup for the film which she fears may have “fumes and toxins” that are harmful to her within its design. The star spoke with Entertainment Weekly about her X-Men costume concerns.

“[It has] fumes and toxins. Now I’m almost 25 and I’m like, ‘I can’t even pronounce this and that’s going in my nose? I’m breathing that?’ “

JLaw is continuing to enjoy time with her current beau, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and although there had been reports of trouble between the pair, sources are saying that the two are happier than ever, seeing as Martin has finalized his divorce from Gwyneth Paltrow. KPop Starz relays the source’s words to Life & Style Magazine in regards to Lawrence and Martin’s romance.

“Now that he’s finally divorced from Gwyneth, he’s finally committed to making things work with Jen. He wants her to know how serious he is about her.”

Recently, the 25-year-old starlet surprised all when pictures made the rounds on Instagram of her and fellow funny lady Amy Schumer on vacation together with an additional large group of friends. It was unclear as to how and when it was that Lawrence and Schumer became close enough to vacation together, yet after reports that Lawrence and Martin were having difficulties, a girls trip was perhaps just what the Oscar-winner needed.

While on the Daily Show Monday, Schumer let the world in on the details as to why she and JLaw took off on a Hamptons retreat. Vanity Fair communicates Amy’s explanation.

“So we go to the Hamptons, and Jennifer and I have become friends. And I was like, ‘Oh, [my friends and I are] going on a boat tomorrow, you should come.’ It was kind of hypothetical, and she was like, ‘I think I’m coming,’ and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I filmed a video of me telling my friends—and they’re like nurses and teachers—that Jennifer Lawrence is coming on a boat with us tomorrow. So they’re all screaming. She’s the coolest chick you’ll ever meet. She’s the best hang, she was like one of the gang.”

So now it’s confirmed — If Amy Schumer says Jennifer Lawrence is the “coolest chick,” then let us all be convinced.
