Gwen Stefani Divorce: Gavin Rossdale’s Alleged Gay Lover Spills Details On His Double Life

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are headed for divorce, and now the alleged gay lover of the Bush frontman is spilling details on the shocking split.

Gwen and Gavin have long been seen as one of the strongest couples in show business, doing their best to keep their relationship strong despite the intense media attention that each of them face. But this week it was revealed that the marriage has crumbled, and there are rumors that Rossdale has been in contact with a former gay lover in the past few weeks.

Gwen Stefani filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Monday, with sources saying infidelity and the pressures of being apart led to the split.

The divorce comes as a shock to many, especially considering just a few months ago Gwen got choked up while discussing how strong their marriage had been.

“If I look back on the whole thing, the one thing that’s been constant is that we both want the same thing,” she said on the Today show in January (via Radar Online). “We both want to be married. We both want to be good parents, and so I feel really proud of what we’ve done together… You’re gonna get me crying!”

But Rossdale had hinted about troubles in the marriage, telling Rolling Stone that Gwen’s success “keeps you in check at the house.”

“You might come in with two of something, and she’s got 12 of something. You can never get over-excited, there’s something about that,” he said.

According to a new report, Rossdale reached out to an alleged former lover, the “cross dressing pop star” Marilyn.

“I spoke to him a couple weeks ago, ” Marilyn, born Peter Robinson, told Radar Online. “He called me.”

The report added,

“According to Marilyn, Rossdale unleashed an emotional hour-long monologue about how his former lover was responsible for the breakdown of his marriage to Stefani.”

“Marilyn claimed he ranted about, ‘the way everything is my fault’ in an conversation that quickly became heated. ‘Because I did an interview [about the affair] … and everything from then on is all my fault.'”

“And I’m listening to all this. He said ‘You’re getting all worked up,’ and I said ‘Out of two of us, who’s the one screaming?’ He went on and on.”

Rossdale has reportedly admitted to an affair with Marilyn in the early 1980s but denied an alleged relationship in 2009. In the interview with Radar Online, Marilyn said that Gavin’s double life ultimately tore the marriage apart.

“Gwen wants him to be something he’s not, and he wants to be something he’s not,” said Marilyn. “That’s my interpretation.”

“I’m very sad for all parties involved, mostly the children.”

While Gwen Stefani hasn’t spoken publicly about her reason for filing for divorce, other rumors claim that she believes Gavin Rossdale was cheating with the family nanny.
