Barbara Evans And Daughter Jenelle Won’t Fight For Custody Of Jace In Court

Barbara Evans and her daughter, Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans, were due in court on Tuesday to address a possible change in their custody situation with 6-year-old Jace. However, their court date has came and went, and now, it appears the reality star was never planning to go through with the hearing.

During a recent radio interview, via The Ashley’s Reality Roundup on August 3, Jenelle opened up about regaining custody of her son, Jace, and her ongoing struggles with Barbara Evans.

“We’re on good terms … I don’t talk about [getting custody of Jace] too much with her because for her it’s a touchy subject. Every time we talk about it she just ends up, like, really upset. We’re trying to just stay positive about the whole situation. We’re going to go through mediation instead of trying to work it out through court. We’re going to try to talk it out through counseling.”

For weeks now, August 4 has been named as the date when Jenelle would appear with Barbara Evans in court in hopes of gaining more time with her son. According to Jenelle, she was sick of her mother’s up and down behavior, and wanted to get more rights to Jace, which would be set in stone.

When asked whether or not she regretted giving Barbara Evans custody of Jace years ago, Jenelle said she did not.

“I don’t regret it at all. Within those years that she had Jace, I did make the choices that I made. Some of the choices were bad. I learned from my mistakes, and that’s why I’m glad that I did get my life together and now I am ready to take that role back. Now I have Kaiser, who is my one-year-old son by Nathan, of course. Raising him, I just want my whole family in my house. I don’t want everyone to be separated.”

While Jenelle may have her mother, Barbara Evans, at her side, she no longer has fiancé Nathan Griffith. As the Inquisitr reported hours ago, Griffith recently announced he and the Teen Mom 2 star had ended their engagement after months of drama. Speaking to Radar Online, Griffith claimed Evans was “crazy,” and revealed they parted ways a short while ago, and ever since, he explained, he’s been dating Jessica Henry.
