Was Tamra Barney’s Baptism Story On ‘RHOC’ Fake?

Tamra Barney never seemed like the religious type on The Real Housewives of Orange County‘s past seasons, but while filming the currently airing 10th season, the mother of three found Jesus and got baptized. Or, was it all for show?

On August 1, Celebrity Dirty Laundry questioned Tamra Barney’s behavior, claiming she may have pitched the idea to producers long before production began.

“Before they even began filming this season of Real Housewives of Orange County, a source leaked information to the tabloids and revealed that [Tamra Barney] had pitched a storyline to producers about her ‘finding Jesus and getting Baptized’ because she was afraid that if she didn’t have anything exciting going on in her life she would be fired.”

Celebrity Dirty Laundry also claimed those who are truly on a spiritual journey generally change their ways. However, in Tamra Barney’s case, she appears to be just as “catty as ever.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, news of a possible fake storyline by Tamra Barney first hit the web a few months ago. At the time, a source told In Touch Weekly, via Radar Online, that Tamra Barney hadn’t really found Jesus. Instead, alleged the source, she was tricking fans into thinking she’s changed.

“[Tamra Barney] says she’s found religion, but her ‘new leaf’ story line is completely fake… [Tamra Barney] thinks the audience is stupid and will believe whatever she says. It’s disgusting.”

Weeks prior, Tamra Barney spoke to Real Mr. Housewife, claiming she was excited to share her “spiritual” journey with fans during The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10.

“I think they will see a softer side of me. I become a grandmother and take a spiritual journey in my life that I’m excited to share with everyone. We have a new housewife Meghan Edmonds, and she is probably one of the coolest girls I’ve ever met. Also, we have a death to a birth and everything in between. The season is very raw with real life issues.”

Although Tamra Barney denies her baptism story is fake, rumors continue to fly, claiming she might not have been honest with cameras during Season 10 filming.
