Dad Tries To Run Over Teens? Dad Arrested After Attempting To Run Over Teens That Fought With His Daughter
A dad tried to run over teens that got into a fight with his daughter and has been arrested. According to the Canada Journal, the Illinois dad showed up where his daughter had just gotten into a fight with a couple of other girls. When he heard what had happened, Roy Williams threatened the 14-year-old girls with “bodily harm” with his cane. When the girls took off on foot, Williams tried to chase them down with his car.
It is not known what the girls were fighting about, and it’s unclear if their altercation was physical in any way. There are a couple of reports that indicate that Williams’ daughter had been “beaten.” As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Williams drove his car up on the sidewalk, aiming at the teens after he learned that they had laid hands on his daughter.

“He was coming at us and he was revving his engine to speed up when he was getting close to people. And when he got close to me, I just jumped out of the way,” said Trey Telfair, who filmed the incident on his cell phone. Thankfully, no one was injured by Williams’ car.
The dad who tried to run over the teens had reportedly called police when he arrived to pick up his daughter, and he allegedly threatened the teens while he was waiting for police to show up. Police say that he shouldn’t have gotten involved, and he should have allowed authorities to do their job.
“He certainly should have not taken matters into his own hands. We would have investigated that initial incident and tried to resolve it without there being any further violence,” said Assistant Deputy Chief Doug Pann.
According to Fox News, there seems to be some debate about whether this man was doing something to “defend his daughter” or actually trying to kill these teens. Some say that the dad was in the clear, but is violence of this nature ever really acceptable? Sound off in the comments below.
The dad who tried to run over the teens has been charged with 12 counts of aggravated assault with a vehicle, and reckless driving. He is being held on $150,000 bail, and is due in court soon. It is unknown if he’s facing time behind bars.
