Kourtney Kardashian, Sisters Still Call Caitlyn Jenner ‘Bruce’

Kourtney Kardashian and her sisters still call Caitlyn Jenner by the name they grew up with: Bruce.

Khloe Kardashian said recently that it’s difficult for her, Kim, and Kourtney to get in the habit of saying the name Caitlyn, especially when they speak to her on the phone and hear the same voice they’ve always heard.

“She has told us we are allowed to call her any name we want to. Because on the phone, when she calls me, it’s the same voice as Bruce. And if I’m not physically with her, it’s hard to remember in the moment that I’m talking to Caitlyn, if that makes sense,” Khloe said, according to Us Weekly.

Since Caitlyn announced her transition to the world with her glamorous Vanity Fair cover earlier this year, she’s been seen out and about looking every inch the beautiful, confident woman she appeared to be in the magazine and has celebrated the premiere of her new reality show. However, she says it’s not always as easy as she makes it appear; transitioning in a very public way comes with its own set of challenges, one of which being the fact that it’s hard to change everything at once.

“Women cannot relate to the whole voice thing. They don’t see it as being that important when it is that important, not only for you to speak and order and do all that kind of stuff, but very important for your soul that you’re feeling good about that,” Jenner said.

The Kardashian girls have all been in their own headlines recently for various reasons; Kim is currently pregnant with her second child, Khloe is showing off a new slim, toned figure after dealing with a difficult divorce, and Kourtney recently split from her longtime beau and father of her children, Scott Disick. Recent rumors suggest that there could be a reconciliation, however.

“Scott is not totally out of the picture. She hasn’t made a final decision. Right now, she’s just living day to day. She’s not begging him to see the kids, but she also hasn’t definitively said ‘I’m never letting him back again,'” a source told People Magazine.

It may not be that simple, however. Another source suggests that Kourtney Kardashian is scared that Scott, in his hard-partying ways, will conceive a child with another woman.

“She is worried Scott will have something to reveal like what Chris Brown recently has dealt with [when he admitted to secretly fathering a daughter, Royalty]. She’s mortified that this is a possibility that could come into her life! It would be another nail in the coffin if anything along those lines comes about,” the source said.
