UFC: Jose Aldo Is Back To Training And Ready To Fight Conor McGregor
A few weeks ago, Jose Aldo was scheduled to fight Conor McGregor at UFC 189. Aldo was set to defend the UFC Featherweight title, but an injury left him sidelined, and as a result, McGregor ended up defeating Chad Mendes to become the interim champion. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the reason why Aldo didn’t fight is because he suffered a rib injury, but McGregor said that Aldo was just scared and he was mentally defeated. McGregor added that Jose Aldo was simply looking for a way out of the fight, and he finally found a way.
However, Aldo recently said that he is now healthy and ready to fight McGregor as soon as possible. The fight between Aldo and McGregor will unify the UFC Featherweight title. According to MMA Junkie, Aldo is just waiting for the UFC to schedule the fight.
According to Daily Mail, Aldo said that he is willing to go to Ireland, which is where McGregor is from. He continued to say that it would be great if the fight took place in Ireland, and joked that if Irish fans tossed out insults at him, he wouldn’t understand them. In case you don’t know, Aldo speaks Portuguese.
Aldo also spoke out about how UFC President Dana White reacted when he had to pull out of the fight. Aldo said White was free to talk as he pleased and that he’s not a doctor. He was talking about White insisting that Aldo only bruised his rib and didn’t break it.
The fighter went on to say that he was upset over the injury and he was about to fight in one of the biggest fights that MMA has ever had, as well as one of the biggest fights in the history of the UFC. Aldo added that the fight was going to bring him in a lot of money.
Aldo said that McGregor can say whatever he wants, but he (Aldo) is coming for McGregor. He said that he will defeat McGregor anywhere, and he better be prepared for the fight.
Aldo has an MMA record of 25-1, and he remains undefeated in the UFC. McGregor has an MMA record of 18-2, and he is also undefeated in the UFC. Conor has won six fights in the UFC, while Jose has won seven fights.
As of now, the UFC has not announced a date for the fight, nor where the fight will take place.
