Video Gaming Gone Wrong — Guy Wants To Play, Girl Doesn’t Approve, He Drugs Her Into Temporary Coma And Plays Anyway

A natural part of the video gaming world is conquering obstacles. For one guy, one obstacle was his girlfriend. But like the games, he found a way around her.

While gaming has its set of built-in rules and algorithms, a German gamer managed to incorporate an unethical tactic to a real-life situation.

As reports the Local – Denmark, the video gamer‘s girlfriend returned home from work approximately 10 p.m. and wanted some quiet, alone time. However, while not entertaining her — and wanting, rather, to continue his game with his friend — the guy saw and treated her as an obstacle. While she didn’t want him playing games all night, the 24-year-old man had other plans for her.

While she was unaware, he slipped a potent sedative into her tea. Before she knew anything, she was out. Of course, he continued with his evening of video game thrills.

The gamer’s girlfriend didn’t wake up until the afternoon of the following day. Once awake, he told her what he’d done. Well, as it seems, she took him to court in Castrop-Rauxel because of it. As reports the Local, she wasn’t exactly fully-functional by the time she left for work. The woman told the judge as follows.

“I got up and drove to work although I was nodding off again and again.”

The court even performed an analysis on her hair, which determined that the particular situation was the only time she had ever been under the influence of those drugs. The Independent mentions that the man offered a statement as well.

“I only put four or five drops into her tea.”

However, regardless of how harmless the video gamer thought his ploy to be, the judge wasn’t having any of it.

“Your girlfriend slept long and deeply, which didn’t harm her, but this is certainly a premeditated bodily harm.”

The Local added that the man acknowledged that his acts were stupid and that he’s changed his life’s course since then. Nevertheless, for placing the girlfriend into a short, drug-induced coma, the judge still cut into his video gaming funds with a fine of $550.

Yet, since the incident, he’s been drug-free and is now part of an apprenticeship program.

After the incident, the couple broke up. From the sources, the ex-couple’s names aren’t reported. However, it’s an interesting take on the dark side of video gaming.
