Justin Bieber Sweeps Up Three More Teen Choice Awards 2015 Nominations, Takes Haul To Eight

Justin Bieber stacks up three new 2015 Teen Choice Awards nominations in the third and final wave of nods announced on Thursday.

The 21-year-old superstar has been nominated in the Social Media King, Choice Twit, and Choice Instagrammer categories, bringing the “Where Are U Now” singer’s nominations in these awards to eight in total.

Bieber will also battle for awards in the Choice Summer Music Star: Male, Choice Male Hottie, and Choice Music Single sections.

In these most recent nominations, Bieber goes up against Bruno Mars, Jimmy Fallon, that other Justin (Timberlake), LeBron James, and Pitbull in the overall Social Media King field. Some strong opponents there.

Moving onto the delightfully named Choice Twit category. Bieber faces off with Timberlake again, Katy Perry, her nemesis Taylor Swift, Shakira, and Justin’s Met Gala selfie pal, Lady Gaga.

Rolling Over to Choice Instagrammer. Bieber has to trump former live duet partner Ariana Grande, the mighty Beyonce, pal Kim Kardashian, also pal Kylie Jenner, and the Biebs’ ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. That’s an interesting lineup.

With close to 66 million followers on Twitter, over 70 million on Facebook, over 34 million subscribers over on Instagram, and more on other platforms, Bieber is a worthy adversary in all of these categories.

Are wins in the can for Justin Bieber? That’s the key question. And it will be the different fandoms or admirers of each contender that decides the answers.

The first wave of Teen Choice Awards nominations were announced back in June and the second earlier this month. The ceremony will air on FOX on August 16, and will be hosted by Ludacris, Gina Rodriguez, and Josh Peck.

As reported by Press Party, Bieber’s eight Teen Choice nominations and his ongoing Jack U collaboration success can be seen as indications that the Canadian’s comeback is surging forward after his difficult 2013-2014. During that time, the young star experienced the bulk of his legal run-ins and messy teen-like behavior.

Since then, Bieber apologized — repeatedly — and more importantly, is no longer getting into trouble.

On Wednesday, the Biebs announced he is releasing his comeback single “What Do You Mean?” on August 28, which will be the first cut from his anticipated fourth studio album.

In addition to a legion of Justin Bieber fans tagging countdown pics and videos on social media, Bieber’s Orange Is The New Black new BFF, Ruby Rose; The Late Late Show’s James Corden; and host Ryan Seacrest are also lending a hand with promotion. It’s likely one celebrity a day will be featured.
