Joe Budden Attempts To Be Meek Mill’s Voice Of Reason After ‘Wanna Know’ Flop

Meek Mill dealt a crippling blow to himself by his own hand. When he dropped the Drake diss, attempted-rival-to-be Budden felt compelled to offer Mill new advice.

Approximately a month ago, Meek took some jabs at Joe via Twitter. Similar to how the current beef began with Drizzy, Mill was popping off at the “finger” at Budden. Meek even called Joe an “old noodle.” The thing is this, Mill was stating that he would be able to hang with Joe, lyrically — to which he tactfully countered that there was no chance that’s possible. However, the momentary beef subsided, and both moved on.

While Meek has held his own against such lyrically-strong opponents as Cassidy, it appears that he was no match for Drake during this round. In Mill’s diss, he said that it’s not that he’s heartless — but rather, it’s that the truth hurts. Yet, he quickly saw his words rush back towards him.

In a nutshell, the diss failed in comparison to Drake‘s “Back to Back.” Via Twitter, Joe spilled his thoughts. As Budden states, Drizzy’s second response was intricately calculated. Joe wanted to hold back his opinion, but the need to advise Meek conquered.

“This 1 of those times I wish I wasn’t a rapper so I could just speak freely…F**k it, I’ll speak anyway… Too late in my career to be PC now… But being objective here…I get Meek is on tour, but someone has to tell him u can’t wing it when your opponent is this calculated…

Drake planned artwork, sent bottles to a man he hates & coordinated w the Blue Jays Phillies series.. He’s clearly thinking. I understand how public pressure works, but f**k all that….U got the girl & just had a #1 album… But ur walking into a trap wearing a blindfold.. No hate I swear.

I get we had our misunderstanding here but I PROMISE u, I say this with no malice, but as an old n***a who beefed w EVERYBODY…

He [Meek] makes really good music in his lane…. THIS CLEARLY isn’t his lane.. Get bac to you my n***a. Duke goes gold in a day with NO ANNOUNCEMENT.. This Quentin Miller s**t ain’t the blow u think it is.

My 70 bars is at 170, if I was a sucka a** n***a I’d drop it for promo.. I’m not.. This ain’t about that my G. Smh.. I’ve said too much.. But I’m a real n***a so I hate to see s**t like this, friend or not.”

And just like that, he give Mill some in-the-field knowledge. Though Meek started in batlle rap, just because he used to be able to go toe-to-toe doesn’t mean it’s still possible. Meek has been out of the battle game for a while now.
