Dorinda Medley Says ‘RHONY’ Cast Really Are Friends In Real Life

According to Dorinda Medley, the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City are actually all friends with one another in real life. In an interview with BravoTV.com’s The Daily Dish, Dorinda, the newest housewife on the show, said that everyone is friends.

Dorinda pointed out that the entire group went out to dinner after filming the season 7 reunion show in early July.

“I think what makes us really unique is we’re actually really friends. We really are. Like, even after the reunion, we all had dinner together. If any of them called me up tomorrow, I’d be there in a second.”

As the Inquisitr reported, Bethenny Frankel posted a group photo of everyone sitting at a restaurant table after filming the reunion show. All of the women, with the exception of Sonja Morgan, who seems to be pouting, are smiling. Both Ramona Singer and LuAnn de Lesseps tweeted that the reunion was full of both tears and laughter.

While Dorinda acknowledged that the friendships go through ups and downs, they’re ultimately all there for one another. She even compared the group’s dynamic to that found in another TV show.

“I swear to God, I’ll say this, we are the old Sex and the City. We’re all a little bit different, but I’d be happy to see any of them. We invite each other everywhere. We’re not just on TV, we’re really friends.”

While Dorinda Medley maintains that everyone is friends with one another in real life, some of the other women may say otherwise. Dorinda herself has had some heated moments with the others on the show. During the Turks and Caicos group vacation, she argued with Heather Thomson over proper etiquette and Heather’s perceived bossiness. When the episode aired, Dorinda and Heather started arguing on Twitter. Carole Radziwill got in on the drama to back up Heather. Carole agreed with a viewer who said that Dorinda, who frequently uses Twitter to express her opinions on her co-stars and the show, acts all nice but then gets nasty on social media.

Carole would also likely disagree about being friends with LuAnn de Lesseps. LuAnn and Carole previously fought over Carole dating Adam Kenworthy, a much younger chef who used to date LuAnn’s niece. As reported by the Inquisitr, Carole is now blasting LuAnn on social media for questioning whether her late husband’s family approves of her talking about his death on the show. Carole went so far as tweeting that LuAnn is a “jealous bitter woman” with “no class” who should be “pitied.”

Carole Radziwill also recently told Us Weekly that LuAnn de Lesseps lunged at her during the filming of the Real Housewives of New York City season 7 reunion show.
