Are These Leaked Images Parts Of The New iPhone 6s And The iPhone 6s Plus?

With less than two months to go before Apple announces the successors the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, rumors continue to float around the look of the new device. Just a few days ago, we had reported about the possibility of the new iPhone model resembling the iPhone 4 and 4s models of the yesteryears. Today, however, we have new information regarding certain leaked images that seem to belong to components of the new iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus models.

A fresh set of images, leaked by folks from over at Nowherelese.fr, a French website, seem to show that the new iPhone models might in fact be only slightly different from the two existing models. The images, which, according to them, are of the new iPhone versions, does not reveal much about the overall looks of the new devices. However, for someone with a trained eye, the differences might be significant.

One of the most important images shared by the website belongs to that of a single flex cable from the iPhone 6s. This houses the volume rocker, mute switch, power button, and the LED flash. The current iPhone 6 model has a slightly different flex cable assembly that splits. This doesn’t seem to be the case with the new model.

Another photo shows the Lightning connector and headphone jack assembly, as well as the main camera rings and home button enclosure. The home button ring, at least from the images, appears to be anodized in a gold or champagne color. Also somewhat evident from the leaked camera rings is the possibility of the new iPhone receiving a protruding rear facing camera lens. This might disappoint iPhone fanboys who had, in the past, complained about the protrusion after the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus was launched last year.

Meanwhile, MacRumors reports that the production of the new iPhone models — the “iPhone 6s” and “iPhone 6s Plus” — is already underway. Earlier this month, there were leaked images of the front panel, rear shell, and logic board doing the rounds of the internet.

As of now, it is believed that the new iPhone models would feature a new A9 chip with 2GB of RAM, and would also integrate Force Touch. Apart from a better camera, it is also likely to receive a faster Qualcomm LTE modem.
