Reality Stars Jenelle Evans And Nathan Griffith Are ‘Planning Slowly’ For Wedding, ‘Teen Mom 2’ Reveals

Reality stars Jenelle Evans and Nathan Griffith have begun planning their 2016 beach wedding, but the Teen Mom 2 couple isn’t rushing the process. In a new interview with Radar Online, shared on July 30, Evans opened up about her soon-to-be-husband, and spoke of their upcoming ceremony.

“He’s a fantastic father. He’s very motivated, very passionate, and he’s my best friend. We do everything together.”

Following the end of Evans’ marriage to first husband Courtland Rogers in 2013, the reality stars began dating after meeting on a dating app. Within weeks, they had moved in together, and decided to start planning for a family of their own. In June, 2014, one year after meeting, the reality stars welcomed first son Kaiser Griffith. Evans is also mom to 5-year-old Jace, from a previous relationship, and Griffith has an older daughter, Emery, from his first marriage.

Although the reality stars went through a rough patch earlier this year, which included two arrests, Evans claimed she and Griffith will be ready to say their “I dos” sometime “next summer.”

“We will be planning slowly. We’re not rushing into it. If we’re going to be together forever, there’s no reason to rush into it… Maybe on the beach … and then afterwards, a backyard reception. I was thinking [of having] chandeliers or lights hanging from the trees… I only want like the most important people that mean a lot to me, not just anybody coming.”

In response to the reality stars’ critics, who believe their relationship is not very stable, Evans said, “Everybody doesn’t have a perfect relationship. If you have more downs than ups, then you should end it. But we definitely worked through our little imperfections.”

As fans of Teen Mom 2 will recall, Evans married Rogers years ago after just three months of dating. One month later, they broke up, and after a number of attempts at salvaging their marriage, they parted ways for good.

“This is going to be totally different because the engagement was planned, the wedding will be planned. We didn’t get married right after the engagement. So we are taking time… I just feel a lot stronger. I feel a lot wiser and a lot more mature than back then. I’m just trying to stay on a positive path and just working towards my future for my family.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the reality stars have already tackled one major wedding preparation: dress shopping. Earlier this summer, according to Radar Online, Evans shopped for the perfect gown while in New York City.
