Demi Lovato’s Dog Dies, Singer Mourns Adorable Buddy With Boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama

Singer Demi Lovato’s dog passed away on Tuesday, leaving her and her boyfriend heartbroken. Buddy had just been adopted last Christmas and had stolen the couple’s hearts.

Buddy had left such an impact on the singer that Lovato had even created an Instagram account for the adorable dog under the username Demisbuddy. In an effort to make sure her fans “don’t forget” her fluffy friend, she posted a video with a picture of Buddy, introducing him with a clever photo edit and voice-over job to make it look like he was talking.

In the wake of Demi Lovato’s dog passing on, she left a message on Twitlonger, a site that lets you post messages extending past Twitter’s 140 character limit.

“We are absolutely heartbroken to be writing this but Wilmer and I are devastated to inform you that we lost our little angel Buddy last Sunday. He was taken from us way too soon in a tragic accident and though I will never know why this had to happen, I do know that God only puts us through situations that we can handle so with that, together we our staying strong.”

Demi had even gotten her maltipoo Buddy involved in promoting her music, showing love and adoration for her new baby. It is unclear what the accident was that took her dog’s life, as Lovato didn’t say what happened. She has asked for privacy in her period of mourning.

“He truly was human in a way and we were so blessed to have him in our lives. We ask you that you please respect our privacy while we take this time to grieve and remember the magical moments we spent with our little angel. We will never forget our baby boy Buddy and his gentle loving spirit will live on in our hearts forever. RIP my tiniest little nightingale, Buddy…”

With the death of Demi Lovato’s dog, the singer and her boyfriend will need time to deal with their tragic loss. Rest in peace, Buddy, you made an impact on many lives in the short time you had.
