Kings of Leon’s Jared Followill Engaged

It’s official, the 25 year-old Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill is ready to walk down the aisle. Although Followill and his aspiring model girlfriend Martha Patterson have only dated for a few months, that fact didn’t stop him from popping the question.

A representative for the Kings of Leon bassist confirmed that the engagement took place on April 11th, and according to Just Jared, Followill gave his new fiance a 4’caret cushion cut diamond ring that he handpicked in his home of Nashville.

While the two kept quiet, Jared Followill finally let the cat out of the bag by tweeting to his followers on the social networking site Twitter, “It’s true! I’m engaged! CANNOT wait to finally lose my virginity.”

His ecstatic bride-to-be also dropped a few Twitter hints about the engagement tweeting, “What a beautiful, wonderfully perfect day.” If that wasn’t enough of a hint, the big rock on her finger at Coachella sealed the deal.

In previous years Jared Followill has been linked to Twilight star Ashley Greene, and then there was a quick spreading rumor that Followill had been hitched to Playboy girl Cassandra Marie, but those reports were proven false.

As far as the other members of Kings of Leon, Caleb Followill is married to model Lily Aldridge, who just announced they’re expecting their first child later on in the year.

Jared Followill and Martha Patterson haven’t publicly commented on a wedding date or location, but it sure will be a rockin’ wedding.
