Liam Neeson Looks Gaunt Just After Turning 63

Liam Neeson has been seen out in New York City looking startlingly thin just a month after he turned 63. Despite the warm weather, Neeson was wearing layers as he walked around running errands.

Earlier, the Inquisitr reported that many people are concerned about Liam Neeson’s drawn appearance. Just weeks ago, Neeson was seen looking healthy, visiting Ronald McDonald House. It is thought the change could be for a movie.

“In his next film appearance, Silence, directed by Martin Scorsese, Neeson is taking the lead role as Father Cristóvão Ferreira and he’s also playing a Monster in A Monster Calls, both films have entered the post-production stages and are scheduled for release in 2016,” reports Yahoo! News.

His representative said that Liam Neeson has “never been healthier,” but the next day he was out again in sweats and layers, with thin gray hair sticking out from his baseball cap. For an action star, he was looking a bit over the hill. He has recently said that retirement, at least from action films, is in sight.

“Maybe two more years – if God spares me, and I’m healthy,” Liam told the Guardian.

“But after that, I’ll stop [the action], I think.”

Last month, just before he turned 63, at the Soho gallery Maison Mais Non, he told the Daily Mail that growing older was a touchy subject.

“My birthday is a touchy subject. I’m going to be 63 — nobody wants to be 63! I’m getting old.”

“What I want more than anything is for it to be ignored. I just hate it and it makes me feel vulnerable. It’s such a private thing — the day you were born, the day you came out of your mother’s womb.”

“Some people hire a boat and do grand things like that, but I just get embarrassed about that sort of celebration and attention.”

“I had a wee splash for my 60th — Bono’s a pal, he came — but even that was borderline ‘I wanna get the f*** out of here.'”

His spokesman says that Neeson just wrapped one film, and has some down time before he starts a new project in September. His next film, A Monster Calls, is due for release in October of 2016.

Do you think Liam Neeson is just getting older, or is his appearance just for a role?
