Bobbi Kristina Brown: Funeral Services Date And Location Announced

Funeral services for Bobbi Kristina Brown were announced today by a spokesperson for family members. The 22-year-old passed away this month on July 26.

NBC’s 11 Alive reports that funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, at the St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. Following funeral services, Bobbi Kristina will be flown to New Jersey on Monday for burial. She will be buried next to her mother, the late Whitney Houston, at the Fairview Cemetery, in Westfield.

Both funeral and burial services, according to family, will be private.

Bobbi Kristina’s aunt and uncle, Gary and Pat Houston, recently opened up about the 22-year-old’s final moments before passing away. Family members surrounded her bedside, reciting a Bible verse and saying “Hallelujah.” She was peaceful when she took her last breath, lying in bed beside a framed picture of her mother.

Bobby Brown, 46, Bobbi Kristina’s father, indicated that although he is “completely numb” after his daughter’s passing, she was and will always be an angel, and that he is appreciative of all of the support and well-wishes he’s received.

“Krissy was and is an angel. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable. We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy and our family as we mourn my baby girl.”

Nick Gordon, 25, Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, is devastated over the tragic loss, says his mother, Michelle Gordon. According to Entertainment Tonight, he was spotted recently still wearing the engagement ring he planned to give back to Krissi, around his neck.

Nick is garnering a lot of unwanted attention, prompting his mother to plead to public this Monday for privacy.

“The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family. Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they’ve been apart. Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time.”

Meanwhile, the Fulton County Coroner’s Office states that the exact reason for Bobbi Kristina’s death will not be determined for several weeks. According to Ann Weil, a former federal prosecutor who isn’t involved in any way in Bobbi Kristina’s case, there will more than likely will not be any criminal charges brought against Nick, or anyone else, until the final autopsy is complete.

“It’s a very important report for them to get back. It’s going to be difficult, because it’s been six months since the incident took place, and it might not have a determination as to the cause of death. But even if it came up inconclusive, that would not keep the DA’s office from continuing to investigate and possibly bring charges.”

Bobbi Kristina Brown reportedly was in the process of working on a new album, and anticipated her first single, “Guilty of a Love Song,” being released.
