New DC Comic Titles Include ‘Batman Incorporated,’ ‘G.I. Combat’

Comic book fans will have a few new titles to choose from today as DC Comics has just released six new titles. The new DC Comic titles include “Earth 2,” “Dial H,” “Batman Incorporated,” ”World’s Finest,” “The Ravagers,” and a modernized version of “G.I. Combat.”

J.T. Krul, who wrote the first chapter of the new “G.I. Combat” called “The War That Time Forgot” says that the new story focuses on a group of U.S. soldiers monitoring North Korea. The U.S. can’t get any reads from radar, sonar, or satellite imagery, so they have to enter North Korea to see what’s going on.

Krul said:

“They see this blotted out section and it definitely piques their curiosity. That’s why they send the team in.”

What they find on the other side of North Korean border is something that they’ve never been trained for: Dinosaurs.

In the next feature, writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray reintroduce “The Unknown Soldier” in a story centered on the war on terrorism. Gray said:

“We’re taking the original concept and modernizing with the war on terror so we have a more espionage-based story line dealing with worst case scenarios of modern terrorism. Having the Unknown Soldier be this one-man task force bent on stopping terror cells and plots, it’s a coping a mechanism.”

The new “G.I. Combat,” as well as the other 5 new DC Comic titles hit store shelves today.
