John Cena Suffers Broken Nose On ‘WWE Raw,’ Still Finishes Match [Video]
John Cena has proved that nothing can stop him, not even a broken nose on live television.
While professional wrestling may be scripted, it sure isn’t fake. This was completely evident during WWE’s Monday Night Raw match between John Cena and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins on July 27 as they fought for the U.S. Championship.
Shortly after the match began, Cena took a knee to the face from Rollins, sending him falling back into the ropes and onto the mat. At first, it seemed as though Cena was selling it to the crowd, however the broken nose was not part of the script, and it was confirmed when blood started pouring from his face.

WWE physician Dr. Steve Daquino stated that Cena suffered a “nasal fraction,” and he would be evaluated by an ENT to determine the best way to repair it.
“As you can see on television tonight, John suffered from a nasal fraction,” Daquino said. “He’s got quite a bit of displacement, so we sent him over to the local emergency room so he can be evaluated by the ears, nose and throat doctor who’s on call tonight and see what can be done to properly repair it.”

Despite the injury, Cena jumped back up and continued to fight, ultimately winning the match against Rollins. However, he was checked on by a referee and twice by a ringside medical official as they continued to battle it out. Surprisingly, “The Champ” still got to hold the belt in the middle of the ring after it was all said and done.
