‘Batman V Superman’ New, Awesome Images Feature Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, & Jesse Eisenberg

New and amazing Batman v Superman images have been released, and they feature Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor).

Following all the excitement of the San Diego Comic-Con panel earlier this month, we have some official photos showing very interesting setting for our superheroes and main villain. Let’s see what we can learn about the Batman v Superman new images.

First we have the Man of Steel himself, Superman, played by Henry Cavill, who returns to reprise the role he created in Man of Steel and is said to be inside a rundown Wayne Manor. Without knowing many details regarding the plotline, one thing is clear: Superman is seen as a threat rather than a savior following the epic and much controversial battle with General Zod (Michael Shannon).

Now he has to contend with humans’ animosity — after he was hailed the hero — and also a new nemesis, Batman, who is not happy with all the destruction left in the wake of the mega fight. In the clip released by Warner Bros. at Comic-Con, we see Bruce Wayne running into a plume of smoke, as one of his buildings collapses thanks to Superman and General Zod. He is understandably furious.

This anger leads him to come out of retirement and don the Dark Knight cape again, so he can go after who he also sees as a threat. The new Batman v Superman images also show Batman, standing in the shadows of rainy Gotham City during that first meeting with Superman — the one we have seen in the first trailer.

In the third Batman v Superman new image, we see Lex Luthor, standing in front of Lex Corp. Industries. Luthor is expected to be one of the villains who will make Batman and Superman’s life miserable, but he will not be alone — he is joined by The Joker, played by Jared Leto, and the reported return of General Zod, whom we presumed dead.
