Rob Schneider Robbed: ‘Deuce Bigalow’ Star’s Home Burglarized, Baseball Card Worth $175,000 Taken

Rob Schneider has been robbed!

According to the Daily Mail, the Deuce Bigalow star’s home was recently robbed, with several expensive items reported stolen, including a 1951 Willie Mays baseball card worth a whopping $175,000.

The burglary took place on Friday, July 24, at Schneider’s mansion in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Encino, TMZ reports. Luckily, Rob had been out getting a bite to eat with his wife Patricia, and wasn’t home at the time of the robbery.

All in all, Schneider claims his wife’s diamond engagement ring, a Cartier watch, and a 1951 Willie Mays baseball card worth $175,000 was taken from his home. Two other Willie Mays cards were also snatched; one from 1953 and the other from 1971. While the diamond ring and watch were expensive items, the most expensive was the extremely rare rookie card.

Because the rookie card is so rare, and in mint condition, the thieves will probably have a hard time selling it without it being traced back to Schneider. Fortunately, the Mays cards were kept separate from Rob’s larger baseball card collection, and the thieves weren’t able to find them.

Although Schneider is probably best known for his role in Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigalo, he actually rose to fame after landing a role on Saturday Night Live in the ’90s, where he stayed for four years. It was here that he met his good friend Adam Sandler, whom he went on to work with on several different films.

In January 2015, Schneider told AXS that he was grateful for SNL launching his career in the acting industry, noting that his favorite SNL memory was a skit with Sandler and Kirstie Alley.

“My favorite Saturday Night Live memory was this sketch I did with Adam [Sandler] and Kirstie Alley,” Schneider recalled. “Adam and I were these Italian waiters and we were standing two feet away from each other and could barely hear each other because the audience was laughing so hard. I just remember thinking, ‘Wow, we’re murdering. We’re finally here.'”

So far, Rob has not commented on the robbery.
