Max Payne 3 Getting Multiplayer DLC This June, More To Come

If you were worried that Rockstar wouldn’t be showing Max Payne 3‘s mutliplayer any love in the DLC department after release, you’ll be pleased to know that the developer has plans to launch several multiplayer-focused DLC packs–at least seven of them, to be exact.

“The story of Max Payne 3 begins in the single-player game and crosses over into the deepest multiplayer experience we’ve ever created,” said Rockstar founder, Sam Houser. “We intend to support the Max Payne community with new and innovative content well into the future.”

Starting in June, Max Payne 3 players will be able to download the game’s first map pack, called the ‘Local Justice Map Pack.’ In this Max Payne 3 multiplayer DLC, you’ll get three new maps, one of which will be playable in the “Gang Wars” mode. In addition to that, you’ll also get some themed avatar items and a new set of challenges to complete.

Over the course of the summer, Rockstar plans to release four more pieces of Max Payne 3 multiplayer content, including two map packs, a co-op pack, and a new game mode.

The price of each piece of Max Payne 3 DLC isn’t known at this point, but Rockstar will be offering a season pass for those of you hoping to grab all of the DLC at a discounted price ($29.99).

Are you looking forward to Max Payne 3? Are you interested in the multiplayer mode, or are you just looking forward to singleplayer?
