Katy Perry Performs For First Time Since John Mayer Split

Katy Perry has stepped out since splitting from on-again, off-again boyfriend John Mayer. The “Dark Horse” singer was seen performing at an annual black-tie gala, which helps raise money to give children in third-world countries free hearing aids.

Katy Perry performed at the Starkey Hearing Foundation’s So the World May Hear Gala in Minnesota. Perry, 30, was all smiles at the event despite just breaking up with her musician boyfriend. She also sparkled in a glittery strapless floor-length ball gown.

The singer dedicated her hit song “Roar” to the foundation’s co-founders, William F. Austin and Tani Austin, according to E! Online. She took to her Twitter account to share her dedication via the @StarkeyCares’ Twitter account.

Katy tweeted, “If @StarkeyHearCEO & @TaniAustin can do it, we all can do it!”

The pop star also posed with former U.S. presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. In classic Katy Perry style, the singer joked about becoming the next President of the United States.

She captioned the photo on Instagram: “42, 43, 46?!”

The singer has been a big supporter of Hilary Clinton for the 2016 presidential campaign. Perry has even changed her Twitter profile pic to Clinton’s campaign photo with her own face on it.

Katy was photographed in between Bush and Clinton. In the photo, she wore a white off-shoulder gown with embellished jeweled straps. The vibrant entertainer kept her makeup and jewelry to a minimum as she allowed both of the gowns to get all the attention. All Katy wore was a cocktail ring and flower earrings.

She didn’t just perform “Roar” at the gala. Perry also performed a medley of her hit songs. However, a report via the Star Tribune noted that Perry’s set “fizzled” on Sunday night. Contributor Jon Bream wrote that Perry was as “stiff” as her ballgown. She also performed a “five-song, 24-minute performance.” The best performance of the night was glam rock band Kiss, according to the report.

Maybe the singer wasn’t feeling like herself after all. It was reported last week that Katy Perry broke up from John Mayer for the fourth time. According to a report via E! News, there was no reason given for their split, but it seems like even fans can’t keep up with their yo-yo relationship.

Katy and John were last seen at a Grateful Dead farewell concert in Chicago over the Fourth of July weekend. Before that, they were seen at Disneyland California over Memorial Day weekend.

Katy Perry is enjoying life as she embarks on her Prismatic World Tour. She feels like she can “park for a minute,” especially after working on her music ever since she was a teenager. According to her recent interview with Forbes, Perry just wants “to live life and have life experiences that influence my music.”
